It was an infantry division of the Army that existed from November 26, 1953 to January 1, 1959.
It was established by organizing the 1st, 5th, and 8th Regiments as subordinate units at the 1st Training Center on Jeju Island.
The salute was taekwondo.
After moving to Yongdae-ri, Gangwon-do, he was transferred to the 20th Infantry Division.

1953년 11월 26일부터 1959년 1월 1일까지 존재했던 육군 보병 사단이다.
제주도에 있었던 제1훈련소에서 제1, 5, 8연대를 예하 부대로 편성하여 창설되었으며,
경례 구호는 태권이었다.
이후 강원도 용대리로 옮겨가면서 제20보병사단에 편입되었다.
